A few things to think about when purchasing:
The main differences between these two plans are the medical coverage maximum and the benefit periods. If you have no insurance coverage in the US, we highly recommend the MH ROSS Asset plan. The Asset plan has a higher medical maximum and a benefit period of 52 weeks. This means if you needed FOLLOW-UP treatment on an illness/ injury that was initiated on your trip (during the effective dates of the policy), you can continue to claim on this policy for up to 52 weeks (or until the medical maximum is reached) on that particular illness or injury.
Please Note: If you purchase the iTravel Insured Post-departure plan you must travel over 150 miles from your residence. The application does not ask for specific information about the distance traveling, so it is possible to still purchase the plan if you live within 150 miles of your destination BUT YOUR CLAIMS WILL NOT BE COVERED.
If you live 150 miles or less from your destination and can provide evidence that you traveled away from your residence the Asset plan is the ONLY option for you.
